Statement of Purpose                                                    

Whether I execute my ideas in stone, bronze, wood or paint the artistic inspiration has always come from clay. When clay is worked with the hands or on the wheel, it is a solid made fluid by motion. As I work the medium is fluid, when I stop it becomes static. That is why, regardless of my medium of the moment, I am always drawn back to clay.
